We are facing an unexpected emergency, which has caught us unprepared and which asks us to remain united, supportive and responsible. Our invitation once again is to respect all the measures adopted by the institutions to contain the spread.
We at COOPI Suisse are doing the same, both in Switzerland and abroad, because people are our priority.
In Switzerland from the beginning we adhered to the directives issued by the Canton Ticino and the Federal Council to protect all those who are engaged in COOPI Suisse’s activities, including their families and the community by promoting alternative work methods.
While staying at home, we never stopped because SOLIDARITY cannot stop.
Abroad, the spread of coronavirus was immediately monitored, adopting measures that safeguard the health of our operators and the local population.
At the moment, the operators on field are verifying the conditions for carrying out the projects safely and are introducing new prevention and awareness activities to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Some activities are inevitably slowing down, but others will be added due to the emergency.
In this difficult situation for everyone, we cannot, in fact, forget who in other countries can only count on our help.
The coronavirus emergency is now expanding in all continents: we know well that for those who are already in emergency situations and in extreme poverty, the situation will be even more dramatic.
We have great responsibility towards them.
This is why we try to move forward, despite daily difficulties, and to do everything possible to support our projects abroad. Hopefully our #letschangehistory start soon, as well as the activities with our donors.
