We bring quality interventions to those who need it most
COOPI values the constant development of its programs, in order to meet growing needs of the people in different areas of lasting and destructive conflicts. For this reason, COOPI promotes and establishes relations with different partners, such as Research Centres and Universities, in order to innovate and improve the quality of its interventions.
As an example, thanks to the collaboration with the Institut de Recerche pour le Développement (IRD), we develop vulnerability studies in natural disasters risk areas (ex: earthquakes, floods, drought, …) through geographical information systems. With the Polytechnic University of Milan, we developed sustainable energy solutions in crisis contests.
“Innovation” for COOPI means bringing new and sustainable technologies to humanitarian crisis areas, by adapting products, processes and methodologies or replicating best and successful practices. Research and innovation are led through different specific projects (pilot or large scale projects) and by sharing “know-how” in the countries where we operate. We aim to reach both our people and stakeholders, such as partners, institutions and communities, which represent the focus of our programs.
