Another event, another opportunity to spread the work of the international cooperation of COOPI Suisse. This time we are talking about an event organized by USI – Università della Svizzera Italiana – which intends to create an occasion where undergraduate and postgraduate students have the possibility to participate at a varied and interactive program and get to know different professions.
In the Job Gallery Walk students had the possibility to chat for 15 minutes in individual sessions with Anna Bonaldi, COOPI Suisse’s Promotion and Development Manager, asking her questions, getting to know the world of the humanitarian aid worker and making the most of her knowledge and expertise in the field. On the other hand, Isabella Sama, Institutional Communication and Press Release Manager of COOPI, and Alessandro Gandolfi, photojournalist, dedicated themselves to the orientation workshops of the Long Night of Careers. “Together with Alessandro we explained what it means to talk about and present humanitarian aid, the tie between NGOs and photojournalism: photojournalists are key communicators and work together with NGOs to report what is happening in the world, going out in the field, collecting stories and news and then eventually contributing to the development of new campaigns. The workshop allowed students to learn how to design a report for an NGO, a new profession within the communications field, and how to construct an effective and productive collaboration between the two branches.
